Bespoke Bikepacking Adventure Co. is partnering with Laura Hrubes (@foodieknitter) for a fall adventure in the unique driftless region of Wisconsin. Enjoy the fall weather as we wind our way down quiet gravel roads through the bluffs and valleys between Viroqua and De Soto, Wisconsin. Meet fellow bikepackers, explore quiet places, eat good food, and experience something a little different. Fall asleep in a cozy hot tent or curl up in a bunk in the cabin if camping is not your thing. Meals will be provided. All you need for this overnighter is your bike, maybe something to sleep on, and a heart open to having fun. Yes, it’s that simple!
Where?
The adventure begins in Viroqua, WI.
When?
The group will depart Oct. 17 at 10:00 am. We will return by late afternoon on Oct. 18.
Cost?
Cost is $250 per person for a shared hot tent or bunk in the cabin, $350 per person for a private tent. There are two private hot tents available that sleep 2 and two shared hot tents that sleep 4. 8 beds are available in the cabin. Price includes food and lodging.
How Many?
Space is limited to 10 participants.
Requirements?
Participants must bring their own bike and gear. A general gear list will be provided to help you pack.
Your bike should be capable of carrying your gear on a hilly, mixed surface route including pavement, gravel, dirt tracks and optional singletrack with rocks and roots. A gravel bike or mountain bike will work well on this route.
Participants must be physically capable of riding and/or pushing a loaded bike up to 30 miles in a day on a route that includes some large hills and rough terrain.
Difficulty Level?
This route contains some optional off-road sections and long climbs. Physical and technical difficulty is beginner to intermediate.
Distance?
Each day we will cover roughly 25-30 miles.
